Opening Week - 1st February 2017

The frst exhibition of the year at Chapel Gate opens on Wednesday 1st February and runs until Thursday 9th March. The exhibition, titled ‘All Our Own Work’ is an exhibition showcasing the talents of the Old Chapel, NNA, and Country Wife Volunteers. From cross stitch to gold work, crochet to embroidery, tapestry to quilting, and much more. You will be inspired by the variety of skills on show.

The Old Chapel will be open on Saturday 4th February. There will be a free demonstration showing a technique used in one of the exhibition pieces. There is also a workshop  running- Zippy Zappy Pouches with Jill Brennan. The workshop will run from 10am to 3:30pm and costs £38 per person (kit can be purchased for £8). Learn to make a quick, lined and zippered pouch with a fun applique picture. These can be made in all shapes and sizes, with a waterproof lining or a simple cotton one. They make great presents and have lots of uses for young and old. Jill will bring patterns for free-motion applique designs or you can use your own!
