At the end of the February meeting there were still a few spaces available for two workshops:

Anne Kelly
Anne Kelly is our speaker for April, and she will lead a workshop on Thursday 9th April called “Travels in Textiles”. Working from a collection of photos or postcards, old receipts and brochures you will create a folding book or collaged piece using these elements. The resulting piece will be a personal response to a special place or event. Collage, stitch and printing will be used. The cost of the workshop will be £32.

Another workshop with Anita Bell
Because the January workshop by Anita Bell was oversubscribed leaving a number of members disappointed, we have arranged an extra workshop with Anita on Thursday 21st May.  The cost will be £30.

Bound to Stitch Workshop
There are just two spaces remaining for this workshop. If you are missing WEG workshops in Feb and March Eliza is running a workshop to bridge the void - embroidered miniature books, stitching onto thin leather to make the covers for small books. This workshop will be held at the Bound to Stitch Studio in Kingsworthy, Winchester on Thursday 12th March 2020. The cost will be £30, places limited to 6 participants. Small material charge on the day. If you would like a place contact Eliza by email

Sales Table

Thanks to everyone for donating to the sales table and please don’t stop giving, anything however large or small is welcome and if you need any help with picking up or transporting please contact Teresa. Give donations to Teresa and she will add them to the sales table. Due to everyone’s generosity both with supplying and buying from the sales table we are going to have a donations box for you so you can browse and then drop your contribution into the donations box rather than having to be ‘observed’. Please give what you feel is appropriate for the items you have. There is no minimum or maximum and we just ask that items that may be a little more special such as say gold threads are considered in the level of donation if you can.
